Payment should be made by cheque made out to Lodge Coaches, then sent to Dennis Gibb (Secretary) who will record the cheque before sending it on. Pick up points will be notified to you by Lodge Coaches. To save expense no confirmation slips will be issued. The details of each trip are on this newsletter so please keep it safe once you have obtained the booking forms from the web or at our monthly meetings. Bookings must be made at least 4 weeks before the trip. Any tickets unsold 4 weeks before the trip will be returned to Lodge Coaches. If more tickets are required, there is a better chance of booking further tickets if Lodge Coaches are contacted early in the year, unless your place is booked early on any of the trips, there could be disappointment. The exception to this method of booking will be Monday 12th November 2012 Christmas Shopping at Westfield Centre, Stratford,E15 (entrance to Olympic Park) this is a trip arranged by Colchester Association and if you require a ticket for this trip, please contact me and I will arrange a booking form for you. For this trip, cheques should be made out to SSA, and sent to Dennis Gibb, who will log them and forward them on to Jane Ingate, Events Organiser at JSV Colchester. All other information you need will be on the information sheet and booking forms.

FRIDAY 20TH APRIL - TRIP TO HISTORIC NORWICH You will be advised by Lodge Coaches of your pick-up point nearer the time of the trip, Norwich is one of England's best preserved historic centres. Within the remains of the old City Wall are the Norman Cathedral, Castle Museum and famous Mustard Shop. There is also a colourful market together with the Castle Mall shopping arcade all combined to make an interesting trip. Tickets will cost £19.50 members/spouses and £20.00 for non OAP's and £19.50 children. Please use a booking form if you would like to join this trip, these can be obtained from the website or picked up at the monthly meetings. TUESDAY 12TH JUNE - TRIP TO STRATFORD UPON AVON You will be advised by Lodge Coaches of your pick-up point nearer the time of the trip. Stratford upon Avon immediately bring to mind Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway, the play-writer's birthplace and home for many years, Stratford has many fine mediaeval buildings, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre with beautiful gardens, and many interesting shops and more. Tickets will cost £21.50 members/spouses and £22.00 for non OAP's and £21.50 children. Please use a booking form if you would like to join this trip, these can be obtained from the website or picked up at the monthly meetings. FRIDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER -BURE VALLEY RAILWAY & MISSISSIPPI BROADS CRUISE You will be advised by Lodge Coaches of your pick-up point nearer the time of the trip. We will board Norfolk's premier tourist narrow gauge railway that runs through 9 miles of beautiful countryside between Aylsham & Wroxham for lunch and sightseeing. We rejoin the coach for the short journey to Horning for a 30 minute cruise on the Broads aboard the double decker Mississippi river boat. Tickets will cost £34.50 members/spouses and £35.00 for non OAP's and £34.50. TUESDAY 9TH OCTOBER - MICKIE DRIVER'S "BLESS 'EM ALL" You will be advised by Lodge Coaches of your pick-up point nearer the time of the trip. An inclusive beef lunch is followed by either a Wartime Variety Show remembering all the 40's stars or an Old Time Music Hall Show, either of which is recommended as great fun. Tickets will cost £34.00 members/spouses and £34.00 for non OAP's and £34.00. SATURDAY 3RD NOVEMBER - TRIP TO BLETCHLEY PARK - "STATION X" You will be advised by Lodge Coaches of your pick-up point nearer the time of the trip. Featured on TV's "Station X" enjoy a trip to Britain's best kept secret the WWII Code Breaking Centre in Buckinghamshire. 12,000 personnel worked there unable to tell their loved ones of their work which ended WWII two years early. Added attractions are military vehicles, restored wartime fire engines, model boats and railway exhibitions plus the Faulkner House Museum complex containing much WWII memorabilia. Tickets will cost £27.00 members/spouses and £27.50 for non OAP's and £27.00. ( Although I try to avoid weekend trips - with this one, it is partially closed during the week and is only fully open at weekends).
MONDAY 12TH NOVEMBER 2012 - CHRISTMAS SHOPPING TRIP TO WESTFIELD CENTRE, E15 If you are interested in this trip, it is being run by Colchester Association and we are advised that bookings should be as early as possible. The pick-up will be at Springfield Store at approximately 9.30am. The cost will be £14 members and £16 guests. A booking form will be issued for this in Spring 2012 by Colchester Association.
To be sure of securing a place on your chosen trips, it is a good idea to pay a deposit cheque of, say, £10, and then pay the balance four weeks before the trip.
Note:- After talking with Lodge Management - they have advised me to add £2.00 to each trip from last year's costs, because there will certainly be increases this year and it is not known yet how much each trip will be. Any costs that are higher than the Lodge Brochure cost will, of course, be returned. 28/01/2012 CMR.
