Chairman's MessageWelcome to all I look forward to seeing faces both old and new in 2010. We had our first joint adventure on the Region with 2 holiday breaks away in Norfolk. Which was Quite Successful. We hope that this can lead to more joint adventures in the future.
We have a full programme for next year, this will include some more speakers at our meetings.
A group of us are looking to get ourselves on a computer coarse in the new year.
We would like to welcome our new Easter Region Chairman Ian Fidler. We wish him all success in his new job.
Thank you for all your support in 2009. And look forward to continued support in 2010. A big thank you to all the helpers at our meetings. And the Committee for for doing a wonderful job.

SecretaryWell Welcome to 2012 a Happy New Year to you all. We had a busy 2011. We have put a program together for 2012, we hope there is something of interest for you all, the new program is published on the events pages of this web site. Following the sucess of our Christmas Dinner at the Bishops Stortford Football Club we have rebooked the venue for this year. We are still booking speakers for our meetings, If you know of any one that worked for Sainsbury's but did not serve the qualifying years 15 now 25 years. These people are entitled to enjoy the benefits of this Associaton. please pass this nformation on to them, or bring them along to the next meeting. I look forward to seeing you at our meetings in 2012 or on one of our many trips.

Secretary - NovemberWell here we are again the winter weather is upon us, damp cold and miserable. Still we have Christmas to look forward to. Our Christmas dinner at the Bishops Stortford Football Club is on the 22nd November 12.30 for 1.0 clock. And the Christmas show is on the 8th December.
Planning for next year is now well under way. watch this space. Lots of exciting places waiting to be visited by us. All the meetings have been booked already, just got to add some speakers. see the events page for Bishops Stortford.
our last meeting of 2011 is on the 30th November big christmas raffle Mince pies and tea/coffee. Speaker Linda Scoles "God rest ye merry gentleman". Do come along and join us.

SecretaryWell here we are in Wet July. 78 members of the Bishops Stortford Association went on a trip up the River Orwell on the Orwell Lady. It started out wet (unusual for us) but this did not dampen our spirits. We enjoyed a three and half hour cruise up the River Orwell very interesting seeing the large container boats in Felixstowe port. The adventure started trying to find our way to the wet docks were we boarded the Orwell Lady. We see quite a lot of Ipswich from our coaches. It ended up by being a bit of a mystery trip. This all adds to the fun of the day. We all found somewhere to lunch before our cruise. All in all a very good day, enjoyed by all.
